TRAVEL & CLOTHES
Bea's Notes
Another personal travel essential: I use one of these turkish bath towels, not only as a travel towel but also as a blanket (on the plane or a picnic), a wrap, a scarf, and a swimsuit coverup.
Bea's Notes
We take these with us camping, but also on picnics or any event where disposables are used.

Bea's Notes
Our favorite brand of socks, because it stands behind its products with an unconditional lifetime warranty. When we wear them out, we send them back to the company and they replace them!
Bea's Notes
The perfect size luggage for my minimalist wardrobe. And it has a unconditional lifetime warranty! Travelling with a carry-on eliminates the need for check-in (unrecyclable) labels, it saves time at the airport and it ensures your luggage won't get lost!
Bea's Notes
Another personal travel essential to avoid the disposable ones given on flights.
Bea's Notes
The only yoga mat you'll ever need: It's study, it's comfortable, it's got great grip and it comes with a lifetime warranty!
Bea's Notes
We take these with us camping, but also on picnics or any event where disposables are used. They are also a great kids and poolside alternative to plastic cups.
Bea's Notes
We use these for drying hands and dishes, but also wrapping the kids lunch, a pot luck dish, or dirty plates after a picnic furoshiki-style, as seen in my book, Zero Waste Home. (Video by my son on how to wrap a school lunch in a Furoshiki, also on my YouTube channel)
Bea's Notes
One of our personal travel essentials! I take it with me everywhere: on hikes, to speeches, on road trips and on the plane. You can take it through security: Just make sure to empty it beforehand (you can refill it at a fountain, the bathrooms, a cafe, a bar, or on the plane afterwards). The company offers optional caps. I personally prefer and use the loop one -the inside is stainless unlike the others, which have plastic.
Bea's Notes
Our favorite backpack brand, because it comes with an uncondtional lifetime warranty! Tried and tested by our household several times!
Bea's Notes
I use this size jar to buy condiments such as olives, peanut butter or honey (I write the tare weight and item number using the water soluble crayon from the shopping kit on the lid; the weight gets deducted at the cashier), and to store bulk items that we buy in small quantitues such as tea, chocolate chips, or yellow corn (for popcorn). We also use it to pack a salad fo work, school or travel.
Bea's Notes
Given that we use a generic bar of soap to shave and wash hair, face, and body, we store it a metal soap case for travel. Ours are vintage versions that we purchased on eBay.
Bea's Notes
To prepare bulk/loose tea. There are two models on the market: one with a chain, one with a handle. I prefer the former for being more compact and therefore easier to transport when I travel (I can leave it in my Klean Kanteen or stash it in a corner of my carry-on).
Bea's Notes
I made mine from old sheets, but these are a great alternative if you do not know how to sew. We use them to buy dry food unpackaged from bulk bins, and food-to-go when we travel (croissant, sandwich, nuts, candy, etc). You can also wet a bag to keep your lettuce fresh longer in the refrigerator!
